Super Mario World SNES Review

This game created a benchmark for Super NES games. Nintendo planned on making this super mario game one of the greatest games ever released on Super NES, which they seemed to have achieved, in a very short period of time. The gaming industry faced a huge competition by this very game and was one of the most hit games of its day. Some say, it was Mario at his Best!.. This game should be called a classic.. and with it's incredible display of graphics and an overall beautiful gameplay, this could've possibly been the best or even the GREATEST Super NES game to ever been released. It supported Multiplayer option, which enabled the player to be either Mario or Luigi.. Players can work together in Co-op mode or even race against each other to complete objectives.. That's not all, whilst racing each other, the players can steal objects from one another and make those players even lose their lives!! Well, all's fair in love and Mario eh?

In the earlier releases of the game, the player had the option of getting the mushroom to get bigger in size or getting the fire flower to shoot fire balls. But this game enables you to get your hands on a special suit called "Racoon Suit", with which, you can fly for a little amount of time. Along with this suit, we have the Bear Suit, Frog Suit, Hammer Suit which gives the player the ability to hide, swim better and throw hammers respectively. This game was a sheer master piece in the 90s and some consider it to YET be the best. This super mario game is extremely addictive and insanely enjoyable. Multiplayer is the best feature yet.

Super Mario Bros. turned Nintendo, an unheard Japanese company, into a global household name. The simple and suave character Mario, who by profession is a plumber, became as popular as the American characters from Disney, Looney Tunes or similar comic books. Mario's popularity reached new skies and became famous to an extreme, so much that he even had his own Saturday morning cartoon show and McDonald's happy meals. Mario, and along with him, Nintendo, became so highly inculcated into American kids in the 1980's that it's effect can still be seen in many retro and modern gamers today.

The addiction grew so much, that the Nintendo introduced new Lock-Out Chips, which stopped addicted children from playing the game and parents could relax. I still wonder why the parents just couldn't take the game console away from their children. It was a pathetic condition then. Due to this game, many people till date refer to gaming consoles as a "Nintendo", even it being a Sony Playstation [though it has made more profit than nintendo's NES].. Crazy huh? Many won't be able to recognize the better counter-parts of the games in Super NES such as Crash, Sonic, Master Chief, etc etc, but they will never ever forget the famous mustached Plumber, whom we kindly refer to as Mario!
